Pause AI Kenya is a national non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, fostering dialogue, and driving action around the safe, ethical, and responsible development of Artificial Intelligence. We are the Kenyan chapter of the global Pause AI movement, working to ensure that advancements in AI technology serve the common good while minimizing risks to society. We bring together diverse stakeholders—youth, researchers, policymakers, educators, and civil society—to engage in conversations about AI safety, equity, and governance. By advocating for stronger safeguards, inclusive policies, and public education, we aim to protect communities from potential harms while harnessing AI’s benefits for Kenya and Africa at large.
